Meet Colin Pattison

I’m Colin Pattison, the owner at Featherstone Wedding Films. For over a decade, I've been on a mission to immortalize the sacred bond of marriage through storytelling.

My journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and was further enriched by experiences in Japan and under the mentorship of Bambi Cantrell. Now, in collaboration with esteemed photographers Maria Olech and Jim Vetter, we're expanding our services to offer not just wedding films, but also personalized photography to our cherished clients.

Beyond the lens, I find fulfillment in the loving embrace of my wife, three children, and two lively dogs, as well as in my passion for exploring diverse cultures and savoring culinary delights from around the globe.

How far in advance should we book our wedding package?

W recommend booking your wedding photographer and videographer at least 6-12 months in advance, especially if you’re planning a wedding during peak season (spring and summer). This timeframe ensures that your preferred dates are available and gives us plenty of time to plan the perfect photography and videography schedule for your special day.

What happens if there’s bad weather on our wedding day?

Weather can be unpredictable, but it doesn’t have to spoil your video. I'm experienced in adapting to all kinds of weather conditions to ensure your footage turns out beautifully, no matter the circumstances. We can also discuss backup plans and alternative indoor locations well in advance, so you feel confident and stress-free about your big day.

Do you offer packages that include both photography and videography?

Yes, we actually offer discounts for combined packages that include both photography and videography to provide seamless coverage of your special day!

Can we customize our photography and videography packages?

Absolutely! We understand every wedding is unique, and we offer customizable packages to fit your specific needs and preferences.

Do you provide a second photographer/videographer?
